If systems are not responding on your dedicated server, a hard reboot can be performed as a last resort. It is important to remember that a hard reboot will cause your website and all hosted services to become offline temporarily.
NOTE: Customers with servers in our Amsterdam, Dallas, Santa Clara, New York, or Singapore locations need to contact Customer Service for a hard/APC reboot.
Log into your remote APC interface. The link, user name and password can be found in the welcome letter received when you first purchased your server.
Once you are authenticated, follow these steps:
- Go to the 'Device Manager' tab.
- Click on 'Control'.
- Check the box next to your server ID.
- Select the operation you wish to perform in the drop-down menu (reboot, power off, power on etc.)
- Click on 'Next' and 'Apply.
If your server is not back online after 10 minutes, please contact Technical Support.
