Expertise level: Easy
If you already have a cloud server, deploying another one is easy and faster than the initial purchase. You can simply deploy a new server in the same account using the data from an existing cloud Volume Snapshot. There are two ways to do it, follow one of these instructions once you have created your Volume Snapshot:
1. Log into your account at cc.iweb.com.
2. Under 'Your Products', go to Volume Management.
3. At the right of the screen, hover over the 'Actions' icon and click Deploy from volume.
4. Select the RAM, CPU and click Next.
5. Enter the server hostname and click Next.
6. Review the specs, read and agree to the Terms of Servers and click Deploy.
7. Windows OS users must complete these last steps: Activating a cloned Windows server
Alternatively, you can follow these steps for the same results:
1. Log into your account at cc.iweb.com.
2. Click on the 'Add a server' icon.
3. Select 'Cloud server powered by Openstack and click Confirm.
4. Choose the 'Create from volume snapshot' icon and click Next.
5. Select the desired Snapshot and click Next.
6. Choose the RAM and CPU and click Next.
7. Enter a hostname from the server and click Next.
8. Review the specs, read and agree to the Terms of Servers and click Deploy.
9. Windows OS users must complete these last steps: Activating a cloned Windows server
NOTE for Windows users: The Operating System licence will be automatically created and billed and the clone will have a unique IP address. All services linked to the existing IP address will need to be connected to the new IP address to remain functional. The Windows Administrator Account and associated data will not be replicated over to the new cloned machine (see step 9).
